


Physical Examinations
Lockheed Martin AspenMed performs all types of physical examinations, including
specialty exams required by FAA (Federal Aviation Administration),
DOT (Department of Transportation), the military, and others governed
by OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) and NRC (Nuclear
Regulatory Commission) standards. Exams include:
- Preplacement and periodic exams (for all employees where
medical fitness is required)
- Medical surveillance exams (for
employees exposed to occupational hazards)
- Fitness-for-duty exams
(for police, firefighters, pilots, federal agents, security personnel)
We schedule and perform the exams, determine and report exam results
to employers, monitor exam results over time, maintain and update
medical records, and ensure compliance with regulatory agencies.
Workers’ Compensation and Disability Case Management
Employer savings can be dramatic when a disabled worker is able
to return to work in a shorter timeframe than expected. Lockheed Martin AspenMed’s
nurse case managers and medical professionals will monitor a work-related
workers' compensation case from the beginning to the end. We
will make the appropriate referrals and coordinate with medical and
rehabilitation providers, the employee’s family, and the employer
to expedite the treatment plan and work accommodations to
help an employee get back to work as soon as possible.
Independent Medical Evaluations
Second opinion services may be required when a disability or workers’ compensation
case is in question. Lockheed Martin AspenMed’s network of medical experts
can review and verify medical evaluations, perform examinations,
report their findings, and/or provide expert testimony services.
We will manage the entire process, schedule the exams, and
follow up as necessary.
MRO Services
Lockheed Martin AspenMed’s MRO (Medical Review Officer) services ensure the
integrity of drug test results. Our MROs will review lab results
for authenticity and false positives or negatives, interpret the
lab
results, and report them to your organization’s Human Resources
contact. We can also provide counseling to the employee when necessary
and appropriate.
Prevention/Education Services
Lockheed Martin AspenMed works with employers to design specific prevention/education
programs. With the assistance of our parent company, Lockheed Martin Information Technology, we can provide a wide variety of printed handouts on
various health topics as well as develop brown-bag seminars to educate
employees regarding health hazards in the workplace.
Immunizations
Lockheed Martin AspenMed administers a wide variety of vaccines for diseases
such as hepatitis B, tuberculosis, and yellow fever to fire and emergency
personnel and employees traveling outside of the United States.
